Final submission layout

Get this wrong and the examiner cannot mark the work properly. None of these rules are about content. They are about making sure your strong work is read as you intended.

The hard limits, read these twice

4 pages per criterion, 12 pages maximum in total across the three written tasks. Anything over 12 is penalised and part pages count as full pages: 12.5 pages is classed as 13.

Video: 9 minutes maximum in total across both videos combined. If your final performance runs 6 minutes, your development video can be at most 3. Even 9 minutes and 2 seconds is classed as 10 minutes and penalised.

The written tasks

3 PDFs · 1 per task · 11 pt

Font
Clear and readable. Times New Roman or Arial.
Size
11 pt for the body. Citations and footnotes can be 10 pt.
Length
4 pages per criterion. Not approximately, exactly 4. That is 12 pages maximum in total across the three written tasks. Part pages count as full pages: 12.5 pages is classed as 13.
Files
Submit each task as its own PDF. One for Task 1 (Criterion A), one for Task 2 (Criterion B), one for Task 4 (Criterion D). The bibliography is a fourth, separate PDF.
File names
Name each PDF after the task. Task 1 Investigating · Task 2 Developing · Task 4 Evaluating · Bibliography.
No padding
No invented headings or sub sections to fill space. Each PDF is a single focused task.
Why this matters

The examiner reads many submissions. One PDF per task means each criterion is read against its own criteria without paragraphs from the wrong task bleeding in. Keep each PDF tightly focused on the work for that criterion only.

The two videos, 9 minutes maximum in total

Task 2, development video about 4 min · MP4

Three different scenes from your piece, each shown with 3 or more progressions or technique additions across rehearsals. Label each scene with on screen titles. The examiner is watching scenes develop, not a single chronological rehearsal arc.

File name: Task 2 development

Task 3, final performance about 5 min · MP4

The final piece itself, marked under Criterion C. One continuous take. Whole stage framing so ensemble and space are visible.

File name: Task 3 final performance

Hard rule

You must identify yourself at the start of each video. Circle yourself in picture at the opening of both videos. If the examiner cannot identify which performer is you, your individual work cannot be reliably marked. No identification, no individual mark.
